The four medical doctors who founded MDbio are specialists with notable, successful careers at premier American hospitals and medical centers in Southern California. Through the course of their respective practices, encompassing over 80 combined years of patient care, our founders have written thousands of pharmaceutical prescriptions for their patients. Over the years, however, it became increasingly clear to the doctors that the drugs they proscribed to alleviate conditions regarding sleep, anxiety, pain, and immunity, were, unfortunately, a double-edged sword. While the drugs definitely worked to some degree, in a significant percentage of cases they also had toxic, harmful, or addictive impacts on patients.

Dr. Kia Michel is an accomplished Urological Oncological Surgeon with expertise in robotic surgery and minimally invasive therapeutic . modalities for the treatment of urological cancers. Dr. Michel is sought out internationally for his medical expertise. He founded the prestigious Comprehensive Urology Medical Group, located at Cedars Sinai Medical Tower in Los Angeles.
Dr. Michel has an illustrious academic path. He received his undergraduate degree from Whitman College, where he was a Presidential Scholar for four years. He graduated with honors from the University of Washington School of Medicine, and was recognized by the AOA Society for his academic achievements. Dr. Michel completed his residency at UCLA where he was a Pfizer Scholar. During a urological oncology fellowship at UCLA, his clinical and research efforts were recognized by the American Cancer Institute, the National Institute for Health (NIH), and the American Foundation for Urological Diseases.
After starting his medical practice in Los Angeles, Dr. Michel helped co found several medically related businesses including La Peer Surgery Center, Path MD and Advanced Radiation Center of Beverly Hills.

In practice since 2002, Dr. Larian is internationally recognized for his contributions in the field of minimally invasive surgery for head and neck tumors and cancers.
Dr. Larian is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. He has written numerous peer-reviewed articles and has presented at both national and international conferences.
Dr. Larian received his bachelor’s and medical degrees from University of California, Irvine. He completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA.
Dr. Larian is also involved in several charities including Medical Missions for Children and Global Smile Foundation. He is Medical Director of the Los Angeles chapter of HELPS International Medical Mission, a medical/surgical operation serving rural Guatemala. He is also on the board of International Society for Children with Cancer.
Dr. Larian has been a managing partner and member of the Governing Board of the La Peer Surgery Center since 2005, a facility that performs nearly 10,00 surgeries annually, with more than 50 partner surgeons. He has been a member of the board and owner of PathMD pathology laboratories.

His expertise has been showcased on CBS News, ABC News, Fox News, Beverly Hills-213 Magazine, US World & News, and Voice of America. Dr. Tabib has repeatedly received the Best Doctor award by SuperDoctors.com. He has also won the Vitals Patients’ Choice Award and Vitals On-Time Doctor Award many times. He currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA.
A graduate of UCLA, Dr. Tabib also received his medical degree from the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the combined UCLA/Cedars-Sinai medical program.
Dr. Tabib has authored countless peer reviewed articles and textbook chapters and has an extensive research background in the field of digestive diseases. He has presented and been a panelist at national and international medical and healthcare conferences.
Dr. Tabib is the co-founder and managing member of multiple healthcare entities including La Peer Health Systems, BluFrog Path Lab Solutions, PathMD and Specialized University Pathologists. He sits on the advisory board for Angel City Sports, a non-profit entity dedicated to expanding opportunities in adaptive sports for children and adults with physical disabilities.
As a practicing gastroenterologist, Dr. Tabib has extensive experience with patients who suffer the debilitating effects of inflammatory bowel disease. His goal is to continue to help his patients and others through innovative research focused on natural remedies that can rival the pharmaceutical drugs currently available. True to his goal, he helped found MDbio, which is advancing this mission.

Dr. Jamshidinia received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology at California State University Northridge before attending California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco . where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.
Dr. Jamshidinia received post doctoral training including a joint . residency program of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Olive View UCLA, where he trained in all aspects of foot surgery. He has . affiliations with the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital, West Los Angeles, CA, and Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Jamshidinia’s teaching posts include Department of Veterans Affairs West Los Angeles and Cedars Sinai Medical Center where he participates in residency training programs, teaching new graduates all aspects of foot and ankle surgery. He also serves as the Consultant Foot and Ankle Specialist for the California Rehabilitation Institute.
Dr. Jamshidinia is the founder of Tower Foot & Ankle Surgery, one of the leading foot and ankle centers in Los Angeles. Along with his private practice, Dr Jamshidinia also participates in medical research and publishes journal articles on his work.
